Jets Week 18 Inactive List @ Bills: Berrios Out, Crowder Back for Season Finale

Entering the 2021 season finale, the 4-12 New York Jets look to play spoiler on the 10-6 Buffalo Bills’ chances to win the AFC East. While the season hasn’t gone exactly how the team has hoped, a ton of positives are still evident as a young core moves into 2022. Zach Wilson will not have his most trusted receiver in Braxton Berrios, as he is dealing with a quad contusion and was placed on IR. Jamison Crowder, however, is returning to the lineup after missing two games with a calf injury. Rookie WR Elijah Moore is not expected to play with a quad injury that is “trending south” according to head coach Robert Saleh. TE Tyler Kroft and RB Tevin Coleman have been activated from the Covid-19/Reserve List, and RB Michael Carter is active after leaving last week with a concussion in the first quarter. Saleh also gave an update on two starting offensive linemen: C Connor McGovern and George Fant. Both players, who were placed on IR in back-to-back weeks, are likely to have “clean-up” surgeries, and should be expected to make full recoveries before OTAs. Their 2022 offseason and season are “not in jeopardy” Saleh reassured.

Defensively, New York welcomes DT Quinnen Williams back into the mix after missing the last two contests due to Covid-19. DL Bryce Huff was placed on IR after suffering an ankle injury last week vs the Bucs. DL Shaq Lawson and S Sharrod Neasman were both released earlier this week, and DE Ronnie Blair was elevated from the Practice Squad. Linebacker and 2021 Team MVP C.J. Mosley comes into the game needing 18 tackles to break Johnathan Vilma’s 2005 record of 173. Here is the full list of inactive players for the season finale:

  • QB Mike White
  • RB La’Mical Perine
  • RB Austin Walter
  • OL Greg Senat
  • DL Jabari Zuniga
  • DL Jonathan Marshall
