Jets Week 11 Inactive List vs Dolphins: Flacco Up Next, Van Roten Benched
The New York Jets enter today’s game starting their 3rd quarterback of the season in veteran Joe Flacco. He was traded for at the Week 8 deadline, and in limited action last week, was able to generate a scoring drive late in the game. Rookie Zach Wilson still does not have “full confidence in his knee” according to head coach Robert Saleh, and his return to the practice field has been limited, so Mike White will be the backup. Expectations are that Wilson will continue to ramp up in practice and have a chance to play next week against the Texans. After a couple of limited practices due to a toe injury, LG Alijah Vera-Tucker is going to play. In non-injury news, RG Greg Van Roten is being benched in favor of newly-acquired OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardiff.
On defense, the Jets only listed one player, DL Nathan Shepherd, on the injury report and he is expected to play as well. LB Noah Dawkins was placed on Practice Squad IR, and rookie CB Brandin Echols was placed on Injured Reserve and is expected to miss 3-5 weeks with a quad injury. Safety Jarrod Wilson is inactive today, so the safety tandem will be Ashtyn Davis and Sharrod Neasman, with Elijah Riley possibly getting into the mix. Here is the full list of inactive players for the Jets:
- QB Zach Wilson
- RB La’Mical Perine
- OL Isaiah Williams
- DL Jonathan Marshall
- DL Tim Ward
- CB Rashad Wildgoose
- S Jarrod Wilson
