Jets add Zach Wilson’s Personal QB Guru John Beck to Staff
Chalk one up for the internet sleuths on this one. A fan of the new York Jets noticed a familiar face on the Jets sideline during the Jets upset win over the Cincinnati Bengals and shared it on the forums at JetNation.com right here, asking if the team had hired Zach Wilson’s personal QB coach John Beck.
According to Rich Cimni of ESPN, the Jets have in fact added the QB guru to their staff. Why should this excite Jets fans? Because it’s another sign that the organization is doing everything in its power to get things right with Wilson. The early results haven’t been what the team had hoped for, but the list of such moves is growing and the kids appear to be getting better on a weekly basis.
Lot of folks wondering about John Beck. Yes, Zach Wilson’s personal QB coach was on the Jets’ sideline Sunday in #Jets garb. Yes, he will be there for the remainder of the season. Interesting move by the Jets.

As many of you know from the pre-draft process, John Beck (a former NFL QB) is well-versed in the Shanahan/LaFleur offense. Obviously, he’s close with Wilson. Beck was in touch with #Jets coaches throughout the pre-draft, so there’s a relationship.

Going very heavy on offense in the draft by taking rookie phenom Alijah Vera-Tucker in the first round before snagging wide receiver Elijah Moore and running back Michael Carter got things started. Building depth on the O-line with Morgan Moses and now adding Beck is a trend that Jets fans should be happy about.
