Coleman Out; Crowder Game Time Decision – NY Jets Injury Report

As the NY Jets get set to take on the Denver Broncos, they are dealing with some injuries to key players. Running back Tevin Coleman has been ruled out for Sunday in Denver with a non-COVID illness. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder, who missed practice all week with a groin injury, is listed as doubtful. Defensive end John Franklin-Myers is questionable with a calf injury.

Robert Saleh gave this injury update on Friday:

I’ll start with injuries real quick. Jamison (Crowder) working through it today, it’s going to be a game time decision. JFM (John Franklin-Myers) should be full participation today. (Jamien) Sherwood obviously, he’s been full participation every day. Zach (Wilson) has been full participation.

Has Crowder missed too much time to just jump right back in if he shows he’s healthy enough or do you have to kind of ease him back in regardless?

All of it is part of an ease in, with how he trains and all that. From a conditioning standpoint, he’ll be fine, but from a schematic standpoint, he knows his scheme like the back of his hand. He executed it in Washington, he’s been here long enough, he’s a veteran, so he’ll be fine. When he’s ready to roll, he’ll be able to jump right in.

Robert, do you expect Denzel (Mims) to be inactive again on Sunday?

Game time decision, we’ll see how it all works. But I’m pumped for Denzel and the week he’s had. Obviously, he’s growing just like the rest of the team is, so, we’ll see on Sunday.
