Crowder Activated; Jets Injury Report
It is Patriots week and the Jets got some encouraging news. Wide Receiver Jamison Crowder is back, he has been removed from the Covid-19 list. This gives Zach Wilson another veteran target. Crowder missed the week one game against the Carolina Panthers. Keelan Cole and Jamien Sherwood are the only other Jets listed on the injury report (below).
Of course, at the beginning of the week, the Jets made roster moves after placing several players on the injured reserve list. Here was Coach Robert Saleh’s injury update on Wednesday afternoon.
All the IR guys, you guys saw those: (Mekhi) Becton, (Braden) Mann, (Blake) Cashman, and (Lamarcus) Joyner. Signed Jarrod Wilson, brought him back to the active, Isaiah Williams, B.J. Goodson, and (Thomas) Morstead at punter. The rest of it, as far as (Jamien) Sherwood, he’s going to be a week or so, hopefully, get him back next week. Then Keelan (Cole), Keelan will be back in the fold this week.
News came out on Thursday that Mekhi opted for surgery so his timeline to return has been pushed back a bit.
Jets’ OT Mekhi Becton now is scheduled to undergo knee surgery next Wednesday and is expected to miss 4-8 weeks, per source.
