NY Jets Free Agency Recap
This week GreenBean is visiting Clemson and is hanging outside of Memorial Stadium. What have the Jets done so far in free agency? What can they still do? There are lots of feelings, all kinds of words describing the moves but here is what GreenBean has to say.
Jarrad Davis LB – this is a position where the Jets need help. Blake Cashman is always hurt and CJ Mosley hasn’t played in two years. Neville Hewitt is a nice player but he should be a backup.
Corey Davis WR – he had just under 1,000 yards in 14 games last season. He is legit and he was selected right before Jamal Adams. He fits the type of receiver that Joe Douglas is looking for, tall and physical.
Carl Lawson EDGE – Watch his highlight tape, he never stops and is relentless. He impacts more plays than show up in the box score.
Justin Hardee, Special Teams – another talented player that makes this team better.
No big name guys, many fans are not happy. But we have a GM that is using free agency to give them flexibility in the draft. That is what he said he was going to do and now he is executing that plan. Big contracts don’t guarantee wins. A systematic approach is what is needed and what is being done.
What moves do we see coming? Offensive lineman, wide receiver, where else will the Jets go?
