Jets @ Patriots Week 17 Inactive List: The Final Chapter
As the 2020 regular season comes to a close, the 2-13 New York Jets prepare to take on the 6-9 New England Patriots. According to multiple sources, the Jets are expected to part ways with Adam Gase following today’s game, regardless of the result. With that in mind, expect the offense to throw out all the stops, similar to last week against Cleveland. RG Greg Van Roten was activated off of IR earlier in the week, so the offensive line will get a boost. Frank Gore and La’Mical Perine will not suit up, so the backfield will consist of Ty Johnson and Josh Adams, the duo that ran for over 200 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Defensively, Blessuan Austin will sit out today with a non-Covid 19 related illness, so it appears as though UDFA Lamar Jackson will step in in his place. The team announced Saturday that they waived K Sam Ficken, so veteran Chase McLaughlin will get a one-game audition. Here is the full list of inactive players for the final game of the season.
- QB James Morgan
- WR Lawrence Cager
- TE Ross Travis
- OL James Murray
- DL Trevon Coley
- CB Blessuan Austin
