Jets to Place Alex Lewis on non-football Injury List, Will Miss at Least Three Weeks
Rich Cimini of ESPN is reporting that the Jets are placing LG Alex Lewis on the non-football injury list, meaning he’ll miss at least three weeks.
The Jets are planning to put G Alex Lewis on the non-football injury list, per source. Could happen as early as today. Minimum of 3 weeks before he can return. #Jets

Lewis, who was acquired by GM Joe Douglas prior to the start of last season was given a new contract this offseason and is the team’s second-highest graded offensive lineman behind Mekhi Becton according to the folks at pro football focus.
Dennis Waszak of the Associated Press has fired off a tweet saying Lewis is having some off-field issues that the team is trying to support him through. Just another odd chapter in what will go down as the worst season in team history with the Jets having a very real shot at going winless.
#Jets will place LG Alex Lewis on the non-football injury list, as @RichCimini first reported.
Lewis has some off-field issues, according to a source. Lewis, who will miss his 2nd straight game, and the #Jets will pay him while he's on NFI as they support him through this.
