JetNation Power Ranking Week 9 (Top 10)
1. Kansas City Chiefs (8-1) – The Chiefs have a chance to avenge their only loss of the season on Sunday against the Raiders. A second loss to Las Vegas would tighten the AFC West race for the second half of the season. Last Week: 1
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-0) – The Steelers dominated the Bengals Sunday. Only the Ravens and Rams have given up fewer points this year. Only three teams have put more points on the board. Last Week: 2
3. Green Bay Packers (7-2) – The Packers played down to Jacksonville Sunday but won anyway. If they can avoid letdowns against inferior teams in the second half, the schedule sets up nicely for them to secure home field throughout the playoffs. Last Week: 4
4. New Orleans Saints (7-2) – The Saints took their sixth straight, but Drew Brees injury is the story. Their next four are against losing teams before they matchup with the Chiefs. With decent play from Jameis Winston they should be fine until then. Last Week: 5
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-3) – The Bucs have the Rams and Chiefs over the next two weeks. If they can take those two, they may be the playing at home for the playoffs. Last Week: 9
6. Baltimore Ravens (6-3) – So, can we attribute Sunday’s loss to the weather? The Ravens have yet to play like we thought they could coming into the season. It’s just about that time when we have to start believing what we are not seeing from them on Sundays. Last Week: 3
7. Miami Dolphins (6-3) – The Dolphins are coming together on both sides of the ball. They are a legitimate contender to win the AFC East. Last Week: 10
8. Arizona Cardinals (7-3) – the Cardinals redefined snatching victory from the jaws of defeat on Sunday. The miracle win may propel them forward, so they don’t need last second comebacks to win games down the stretch. Last Week: Unranked
9. Buffalo Bills (7-3) – The Bills loss on Sunday was the kind that tailspins are born of. They should be able to handle the Chargers in Buffalo Sunday, but we will need to see how they manage the bitter disappointment in Phoenix. Last Week: 6
10. Los Angeles Rams (6-3) – The Rams have allowed the fewest points against thus far. They get to prove how good they are with a visit to Tampa this week. They need to reverse the trend they have been on since week five – alternating wins and losses – and put two straight wins together. Last Week: Unranked
