At the halfway point in the 2020 season, the New York Jets find themselves winless and looking up at the rest of the league in the standings. Despite taking an early 10-0 lead last Sunday against the Bills, they ultimately fell short, 18-10. Now they face the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs, who are in midseason form at 6-1 and sitting in 2nd place in the AFC.
The Jets come in missing their top two pass catchers in Jamison Crowder (groin) and Breshad Perriman (concussion), so they will rely heavily on rookie Denzel Mims, who looks to build off a solid debut last week. Kicker Sergio Castillo was signed to the active 53-man roster, a sign that usual kicker Sam Ficken is still not healthy enough after suffering a groin injury last week in practice. The team also placed S Bradley McDougald on Injured Reserve after suffering a shoulder injury against Buffalo. New York once again find themselves as massive underdogs, and will look to get young players like La’Mical Perine and Ashtyn Davis reps early and often. Here is the full list of inactive players for today’s contest.
