Rapoport: Jets to Sign Donte Moncrief
Looking to add an experienced veteran to a beaten up group of wide receivers, the Jets are reportedly signing Donte Moncrief.
The #Jets are planning to sign veteran FA WR Donte Moncrief, source said, once he passes through his COVID-19 protocols. The former #Colts starter spent time with the #Panthers and #Steelers last year and recently worked out for NYJ, as well. He’ll provide depth.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that Moncrief is expected to be a Jet after recently working out for Gang Green.
A six-year veteran, Moncrief had his best season just two years ago with the Jacksonville Jaguars when he hauled in 48 passes for 668 yards and 3 touchdowns. The 6′ 2” Moncrief also gives the Jets another speedy outside receiver as he has been clocked at 4.4 in the past.
With Denzel Mims still nursing a bad hamstring, Breshad Perriman working through a knee injury and Vyncint Smith on the shelf for up to 9 weeks, the Jets had to make a move to add some insurance and Moncrief does just that.
