Doctson is Latest Jet to opt out for 2020 Season

Jets wide receiver Josh Doctson joined linebacker CJ Mosley and offensive lineman Leo Koloamangi in opting out for the 2020 NFL season according to multiple reports.

Doctson signed a 1-year deal with the Jets and was expected to compete for a roster spot to be Sam Darnold’s fourth or fifth receiver.  Having racked up a pair of 500 yard seasons, Doctson is one of the more experienced receivers on a Jets depth chart that has plenty of speed but lacks past production as we outlined here earlier this week.

With Doctson out of the picture, the Jets could consider picking up the phone to touch base with Demaryius Thomas who would be a nice depth option at this point.
