Things are moving along nicely at 1 Jets Drive today as Joe Douglas and the Jets have signed their third rookie of the day. Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News is reporting that the team has inked third-round defensive lineman Jabari Zuinga.
According to Mehta, Zuniga’s deal is a four-year pact for $4.73 million dollars. Looking to remedy an anemic pass rush, the Jets rolled the dice on Zuniga who battled some injuries in college, but showed a knack to disrupt opposing quarterbacks. With Zuniga in the fold, that leaves only first-round pick Mekhi Becton and third-round safety Ashtyn Davis among the team’s rookie class yet to sign.
The official announcement was made via the Jets twitter page with no contractual details included.
