Report: Jets Talking to Retired OL Kyle Long About Possibe Return
Perhaps looking to add some depth and mentorship along the offensive line, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News is reporting that the Jets have contacted retired free agent Kyle Long.
Sources: Jets have talked to former Bears Pro Bowl OL Kyle Long about coming out of retirement.

A once great player who has battled injuries in recent years, the Jets may view Long as a savvy veteran in the locker room and along their offensive line as a player who has the ability to step in and start in a pinch at right guard or right tackle.
While some fans may cringe at the thought of bringing back another retired offensive lineman after last year’s Ryan Kalil debacle, this would be far different as Long wouldn’t be viewed as a player who is expected to come in and take over as a starter.
