Injury Updates with the Steelers Coming to Town
Adam Gase gave these injury updates on Thursday.
Opening statement…
Alright, not practicing today: Demaryius (Thomas), Tom Compton still and Robby (Anderson) will be out with an illness. Limited: Jamal (Adams), Henry (Anderson), (Kelvin) Beachum, Arthur (Maulet), Steve (McLendon), Brian Poole is still in concussion protocol, still kind of going through those steps, and then Bilal (Powell) and Quinnen (Williams) will be limited.
On if Poole is close to being back…
I don’t know.
On Robby Anderson’s illness…
Yeah, they just told me this morning that he was sick, and they sent him home.
On who will be starting at right guard if Compton will not play on Sunday…
Pick one of the two guys left.
On if Conor McDermott or Brent Qvale are options for starting right guard…
(Yes).
On if Williams has a chance to play Sunday…
I haven’t heard any complaints from any of those guys. We’re going to get it going another day and see how it goes and see how the rest of the week goes.
On if the chances of Adams playing are high…
Yeah. Like I told him, “Let’s go through the week and we’ll see how you feel at the end of it, and we’ll make the right decision.”
