Darnold Won’t Play vs Eagles
Sam Darnold returned to the practice field this week and the final hurdle was being cleared for contact. He met with the doctors last night and Adam Gase said, “the labs didn’t come back the way they were hoping”.
Adam Gase just announced that Sam Darnold is out for Sunday. "He did everything he could do", "the labs didn't come back the way they were hoping".
Luke Falk to start on Sunday.

Gase was non committal when asked if he expected Darnold back for the Cowboys game, clearly though that seems to be what he is hoping for. The Jets have resigned David Fales to backup Luke Falk.
Doctors can't definitively say whether Darnold will be cleared before the Jets game against the Cowboys next week, but Adam Gase is optimistic that he'll be ready to go by then

Other injury updates, CJ Mosley hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday but it isn’t looking promising based on his limited participation this week.
Jordan Jenkins (calf) is out this week. Mosley (groin) and Osemele (shoulder/knee) have not been ruled out yet but will not practice today. Unlikely they play #nyj
