Through one quarter of the season, everything is exactly how we expect it. Nine teams have changed their quarterback due to injury or poor performances. Many of the games’ superstars have missed multiple weeks due to injuries, including Saquon Barkley and Tyreek Hill. Rookie wide receivers are producing at a high rate, while rookie running backs have started slow. The 49ers are the last undefeated team in the NFC, and the Bucs put up 55 points against the Rams. So no, everything is not exactly what we expected for the 2019 season.

Waiver Targets
Mason Rudolph
Although the majority of his passes were completed behind the line of scrimmage, Mason Rudolph turned in a solid fantasy day with 229 yards and 2 TDs on Monday night. He will be a solid option in deeper leagues moving forward.
Marcus Mariota
Another impressive performance from Marcus Mariota has him as QB8 through the first quarter of the season. He is a great streamer option with favorable matchups down the road.
Jaylen Samuels
Jaylen Samuels is a must add in all deep leagues, and especially in leagues if you are the owner of James Conner. A breakout game on MNF against the Bengals where he saw 18 total touches, as well as 31 passing yards, probes the Steelers want to use their backup running back each week.
Ronald Jones
The running backs for the Buccaneers have gone back and forth all year, giving fantasy owners a headache. It appears Jones has emerged as the lead guy, and 13+ touches in three of the first 4 games is promising volume in a fantasy friendly offense.
Geronimo Allison
With Davante Adams battling a turf toe injury suffered on TNF against the Eagles, Geronimo Allison becomes the number two receiver in Green Bay. Rodgers and Allison have great chemistry and he is coming off a touchdown performance.
Diontae Johnson
After a 6 catch, 77 yard and a touchdown game from Johnson on Monday night, and back to back games with touchdowns, Johnson is poised to be the Steelers receiver you want to own. Teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster is off to a slow start, so Johnson is a great add.
Golden Tate
Coming back after a 4-game suspension, Tate gives the Giants offense and Daniel Jones an underneath target on short yardage situations. His target share should definitely be worthy of a flex play.
Chris Herndon
Another player coming off of a suspension, and available for use starting Week 6, Herndon will provide Sam Darnold a great option between the numbers. The Jets offense needs all the help it can get, so he will immediately be a bright spot at the tight end position.
