Robby Sits Out; OLine is Healthy

The Jets had their projected starting offensive line on the field Tuesday at practice. Adam Gase seemed happy with their performance.

It seemed like it was pretty smooth. The good thing is, being in meetings it wasn’t like we’ve forgotten what we’ve learned since the spring. The information is there. They know what we’re trying to do. It’s just kind of those guys gelling together as fast as possible.

Here is the full injury update from coach Gase.

Brandon Bryant, he’s in the concussion protocol. Rontez (Miles), he’s got a hip. He’s day to day. Robby (Anderson) has a calf, he’s day to day. (Trumaine Johnson) started practice, looked good. Our plan was kind of let him go a little bit and then bring him back in and finish his rehab inside, that’s what we did. It worked out the right way, like the trainers wanted. KO and (Brian) Winters both practiced and did well. It feels like they’re progressing well. Jeff Smith and Kyron Brown, both those guys went through the whole practice. Those guys finished and looked like they were getting better.

It is good news that Trumaine Johnson is practicing.  Expect him to sit out on Thursday night with the other starters while the Jets focus on getting him healthy for the week one match up against the Bills.

The injury to Robby Anderson is a concern, so the Jets will play it safe with him as well.
