Jets Add Davis Webb to Active Roster: Sterling to IR
As expected, the Jets will be adding quarterback Davis Webb to their active roster with rookie signal caller Sam Darnold not expected to dress for tomorrow’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
With Sam Darnold darling with a foot injury and doubtful to play tomorrow, the Jets will be activating practice squad QB Davis Webb to the 53-man roster, per source.

Webb was added after being cut loose by the New York Giants earlier this season and will serve as the backup to Josh McCown.
EDIT: The team officially announced the move. Neal Sterling has been placed on IR to make room for Webb.
We’ve activated QB Davis Webb and placed TE Neal Sterling on IR.
