Sam Darnold Signs Contract
Earlier today Adam Schefter reported that the Jets were about to sign Sam Darnold after his short hold out. The Jets have since confirmed the signing and Sam Darnold is on the field today for practice.
Mike Maccagnan commented on the signing.
We are very pleased to have Sam join the team. This is what both sides wanted all along and we’re eager to get Sam on the practice field while it’s still early in training camp.
Jets and QB Sam Darnold expected to reach agreement today he is expected at their building today, per source.
Darnold will sign a four-year, $30.25 million deal, including $20 million guaranteed.
