Tom Pelissero of the NFL network is reporting that Gang Green is expected to sign former Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant after he went undrafted in today’s supplemental draft.
There were rumblings of Bryant being snagged with a sixth or seventh round pick, but in the end, he wasn’t chosen by any of the 32 NFL clubs, leaving him free to sign with the club of his choosing.
The speedy Bryant who has been clocked in the 4.4’s, finished his collegiate career with 5 interceptions in three years, to go along with 157 tackles and a forced fumble.
Bryant joins a crowded depth chart at safety that is topped of course, by Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye, Mike Maccagnan’s first and second round picks respectively from last year’s draft.
Bryant was included on JetNation’s supplemental watch list that you can view right here.
