Despite having committed over $50 million in salary to adding new and bringing back a few players from last year’s team, Jets GM Mike Maccagnan may not be close to finished spending in the current wave of free agency.
Multiple reports have the Jets set to meet with some high-quality players who are unlikely to come cheap.
Former Buffalo Bills cornerback EJ Gaines is visiting the team today according to NFL network’s Mike Garafolo, while wide receiver Allen Hurns has wrapped up a visit with the Cowboys and is en route to Florham Park to meet with the Jets.
An already eventful off-season would get that much better for the Jets if they were to add a pair of proven veterans at two positions of need in Gaines and Hurns.
