Dylan Donahue probably felt like his off-season couldn’t get much worse after news of his recent arrest following a traffic accident in which he was deemed to be intoxicated at the scene took place in the Lincoln Tunnel. Donahue may feel differently now as a report has surfaced claiming that it’s not his first DUI in the past calendar year.
Rich Cimini of ESPN New York claims here Donahue was also arrested for driving under the influence in his home state of Montana just days after being drafted by Gang Green. Donahue’s SUV was reportedly found flipped over before he blew a .137 on a breathalyzer, well over the .08 legal limit.
The reality of the NFL is that if you’re a good enough player, transgressions like this will be overlooked by ownership. Donahue, a fringe pass rusher who was chosen in the fifth round is far from that, and perhaps being released or receiving a hefty suspension might be the wake up call he needs if he’s ever going to stop making bone-headed decisions.
