Report: Jets Tell McCown he’s Starter for ’18
It’s deja-vu all over again.
Calvin Watkins of Newsday is reporting that a source claims the Jets have told Josh McCown he’ll be the teams starting quarterback after signing him to a one-year deal with $10 million guaranteed.
A source tells @NewsdaySports Josh McCown has been told he will be the starter, however, interest in Teddy Bridgewater remains.

Whether or not McCown is the starter when the season rolls around in September remains to be seen, but it’s an eerily similar situation to that of Ryan Fitzpatrick whom Todd Bowles gifted the starting job to two years ago, only to have it blow up in his face.
