The Jets enjoyed a big 34-21 win against the Buffalo Bills yesterday and the team’s top performers according to pro football focus featured a mix of offense, defense, young and old.
Topping the Jets rankings was linebacker Darron Lee, who churned out a gaudy 86, his highest grade ever from PFF. As a matter of fact, Lee has posted his three best games in each of the past three weeks according to PFF. Lee graded out at 84.8 against the Dolphins two weeks ago and then 80.4 against the Falcons before his career-best 86 last night.
Following Lee was always underrated defensive lineman Steve McCledon (84), RB Bilal Powell (83.7), DL Muhammad Wilkerson (83.5) and running back Matt Forte (83.2)
For all the heat PFF takes for their imperfect grading system, is there any Jets fan who has been paying attention to this team that hasn’t seen significant improvement over the course of the past month from Lee and Wilkerson?
If the pair continue to turn in performances like they did last night, putting up points won’t be quite as easy as it was much earlier this season for opposing offenses.
