Jets Liking Local Talent?

By Glenn Naughton

Pro days and private workouts are in full swing for all 32 NFL clubs who will also take the time to evaluate some local talent that may not be grabbing national headlines or topping mock drafts.

According to Kristian Dyer of Metro, the Jets recently worked out a group of local players ahead of this month’s draft.  According to Dyer, it was a strong showing at Rutgers’ pro day for offensive tackle Chris Muller that got him an invite to work out with the Jets and several other clubs, including the Detriot Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins.

Kansas free safety Kevin Shaw was also a name that piqued the interest of the Jets and a few other clubs as the Piscataway product had a strong showing after working with TEST football academy.
