Rich Cimini of ESPN New York is reporting the Jets worked out up to seven kickers today, but more notably took a look at the recently released Dri Archer.
Archer made a name for himself at the NFL scouting combine two seasons ago when he blazed a 40 time of 4.26 seconds before being chosen in the third round (97th overall) by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In just over one season of action, Archer was let go after posting just 10 carries for 40 yards while returning 23 kicks for 515 yards.
