Report: Jets to Place Milliner on Short-Term IR
By Glenn Naughton
NFL Network analyst Ian Rapoport informed his followers through twitter that the Jets plan to place cornerback Dee Milliner on IR/designated-to-return list due to a wrist injury he suffered earlier in camp which will keep him sidelined for the first half of the season.

While Milliner may be ready to return prior to that point, their depth at the position allows them to let Milliner fully heal while freeing up a roster spot for the first half of the season.
Milliner, a former first round pick struggled as a rookie out of Alabama two seasons ago and was then injured for the majority of his second pro campaign, thwarting his efforts to make a positive impression in year two.
Milliner will be eligible to begin practicing with the team in week six.
