Jet Nation’s very own fantasy expert Mike Dietrich takes a look at 10 fantasy football wannabe studs who may getting more love than they should be…
Emmanuel Sanders 43– It is not about his talent, it is about what Peyton Manning we are going to see this year. I do not think we see the 2014 1st half Peyton ever again.
Jimmy Graham 51– He usually put us nice stats but also has huge drops and too many mental mistakes, with him going the the team that throws the ball the least, I do not see him approaching his previous stats.
Russell Wilson-55– This for me is more about him not being able to continue to run up these rushing yards and touchdowns.
Sammy Watkins -60– There is a huge question mark at QB, some competition for targets plus being in a run heavy offense, I see him more of a WR3.
Peyton Manning -61- As I stated above, I don’t see him coming close to his previous stats due to his age, injuries as well as the possible new run heavy Broncos.
Todd Gurley-67- It is not about the talent, its about being 9 months off the ACL, and the most inexperienced OL in the NFL. Fisher has come out and said he has a long way to go and may not play preseason.
Julian Edelman-71– With Brady being out the 1st 4 games, I do not seem him being favored, better in PPR but I am still staying away.
Breshad Perriman-87- He is a rookie who struggled with drops in college, with the few chance he will get, I can see him struggling or even getting benched by a team looking to make a Super Bowl run.
Kevin White-89- He is still injured and has not practiced, does not come from a pro style offense and going to have a huge learning curve. I see him struggling big time.
Martavis Bryant-98- His hype was out of control as it got to 4th or 5th round even though he had 2 good fantasy games last year, now has an injury with Big Ben promoting Wheaton, I would not want him at current values.
Thanks for reading and have a great week!
