Fantasy Football Week 6 Free Agent Frenzy
This shapes up as the 2nd most interesting week on the waiver wire this year with a few injuries hitting the Giants, Broncos and Chargers. Depending on what your needs are is how to prioritize this list. I think all these guys are short term and will rank them as I will list them within my leagues. We have listed guys in the past that could still out there, Allen Robinson, Justin Forsett, Rueben Randle, and James Jones, Let’s get to this week’s list;
- Andre Williams – Jennings looks to be out until at least week 9, there are no other options for a team that loves to run. He is a bell cow and used to the heavy workload.
- Braden Oliver – He looked incredible last week against a top defense in the Jets but I would temper those expectations a bit. He does have Sproles’ number but is a different kind of player. That said he has the job for at least a week and worst case is he keeps a Woodhead role the rest of the year.
- Ronnie Hillman – He had numerous chances to grab this job in the past and has failed, the Broncos still do not seem that interested in running the ball a ton. I do not feel great about him.
- Carson Palmer – There finally has been some good news, he could be back soon. Palmer has great weapons and a nice schedule, would grab and stash him.
- George Winn – Had a nice game coming off the practice squad last week and Reggie Bush is banged up again. Another messy situation but if you have room, a nice chance to take.
- Louis Murphy – Back to back nice weeks in the new wide open Bucs offense plus they have major issues running the ball, could be a WR3 the rest of the way.
- Bennie Cunningham – Stacy is banged up and questionable for Monday night so if you are banking on him, make sure to have this backup in place. Cunningham could also grab the job as the Rams are in a pure RRBC.
- James Stewart – No one has grabbed the Panthers RB job. He has burned everyone before but if there is a dead roster spot you could do worse.
- Tim Wright – He had a nice game but keep in mind he only played 19 snaps. Wright is really only a bye week fill in.
- Austin Davis – He has been a great story so far but the sledding gets very tough with the upcoming schedule. If turnovers are not counted in your league, he could be a nice bye week fill in.
- Matt Prater – Although I never list a kicker, with his talent and the possibility of starting for the Lions, Prater is definitely a top five option.
- Titans Defense – They are my #1 streaming defense and they should be available in every league.
