NFL ANNOUNCES JETS PRESEASON OPPONENTS
April 9, 2014 – The New York Jets will open the 2014 preseason with a matchup at home against Indianapolis, the NFL announced today. After facing the Colts, the Jets will travel to Cincinnati before completing their 2014 preseason slate against their traditional opponents. They will host the Giants in the fourth installment of the MetLife Bowl and finish on the road against Philadelphia.
The Jets play the Colts for just the second time in the preseason, while their matchup against the Bengals is the third in the last four years, and the second straight in Cincinnati. The team’s third preseason game against the Giants renews a series played every preseason since 1969. The fourth contest against the Eagles continues the Jets streak of facing Philadelphia in each of the preseason’s final week since 2001.
