Players To Watch (Jets vs. Raiders )

Key Raiders players the Jets will need to contain Sunday if they want to be victorious:

1) Wide Receiver – Andre Holmes:  With fellow WR Denarious Moore out, Holmes is going to likely see even more time opposite of starting WR Rod Streater.  Holmes’ 6’4” frame could figure to give the Jets secondary problems. Holmes only has ten catches on the year but seven came last week against the Cowboys. With a few extra days to game plan and the confidence Raiders QB Matt McGloin continues to show in Holmes (especially downfield), the Jets will have to be careful he doesn’t beat them.

2) Outside Linebacker – Sio Moore:  The rookie third round pick is coming off arguably his worst game as a pro last week but has been very solid for the Raiders this year.  Tallying 34 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and a forced fumble on the year, his constant pressure when asked to get to the quarterback has been impressive.  The Jets offensive line will have their hands full between Moore and defensive end Lamarr Houston.

3) Cornerback – Mike Jenkins:  Jenkins did an excellent job against his former team last Thursday, holding Cowboys WR Dez Bryant in check for almost the entire game. With the lack of success the Jets receivers have had getting separation from anyone this year, lets see if offensive coordintor Marty Mornhinweg gets creative running “rub-routes” to separate from Jenkins.
