NY Jets Bring Back Ricky Sapp And Place Antwan Barnes On Injured Reserve
Today the New York Jets decided to bring back line backer Ricky Sapp after he was released on October 5th from the Jets active roster. Part of the reason he was brought back is because of the loss of outside linebacker Antwan Barnes. The Jets announced that Barnes suffered a season ending knee injury on Monday night football against the Atlanta Falcons. Barnes was a back up that was used mostly as a pass rusher. He was able to record two sacks for the Jets this season and his speed will surely be missed.

Additionally the Jets signed defensive end Terence Barnes out of Georgia Tech University. Barnes is listed as 6’6″ and weighs 369 Lbs and comes in to add depth at the position.
We have also signed DT Terence Barnes of Georgia Tech to the practice squad and released DT Junior Aumavae from the practice squad.

The Jets decided to part ways with nose tackle Junior Aumavae and released him from the practice squad. The Jets face a familiar Pittsburgh Steelers team on Sunday and we possibly may see more moves made to the roster as the week goes on. If any changes are made we will keep Jet Nation informed. Keep the conversation going in our New York Jets message board.
