Each week in this space I will review players who are ranked outside the top 10 for Qb’s and Te’s and top 20 for Wr’s in the weekly ESPN rankings on who I think will flourish and who will disappoint this upcoming week. I do not review those ranked higher since they are probably highly drafted and unable to be benched. Last week was a good week, I went 6-2 in the Play them and 6-3 in the Bench them. We have our 2nd bye week with the Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, and Washington being off. Let’s get to this week;
Terelle Pryor (12) – He is back and healthy and should be able to put up a solid day versus the average San Diego defense.
Eli Manning (14)- If you still have him here is his make ro break week in getting the awful Eagles defense.
Davis Wilson (21) – With the release of Scott and the Eagles defense plus him getting more and more carries this should be his 2013 breakout.
Ryan Mathews (25) – I do not love him but the Raiders are not great and he idi total up 100 yards last week.
James Jones (20)- The Lions pass defense has a ton of holes and with the Packers off the bye week, they should explode at home.
Steve Smith (22) – As good as the Cardinals are against the run is as bad as they are versus the pass.
Kenbrell Thompkins (25) – He is now the favorite deep threat in New England, and should continue to get better and better.
Coby Fleener (13) – Andrew Luck in his limited throws continues to force the ball to his college teammate.
Andrew Luck (11) – He has not had back to back weeks with 2 TD’s throwing since early last year and think he struggles with the Seahawks defense.
Sam Bradford (16) – Fisher is promising a run heavy game plan and limiting Sam’s decisions and pass attempts, stay far away.
Steven Ridley (22) – He is in a 3 way job share plus missed all practices this week.
Rashad Jennings (24) – Even if McFadden does not play, he has shown nothing last year when given the job, do not take that chance.
Cecil Shorts (24) – I would usually say start all players versus the Rams but he was banged up all week and not sure how the targets will fall with Blackmon back.
Mike Wallace (26) – With only 1 good week out of four, who knows when he will play well again, let it be someone’s else issue.
Steve Johnson (30) – He will get matched up against Joe Haden which is bad news for the best receivers in the game.
Brent Celek (16) – Vick very rarely looks to him, bigger chance of him busting than a boom.
