The New York Jets Make Roster Moves
The Jets are expected to make a lot of cuts to their roster today. They have until 6 pm eastern time to get within the NFL’s rules of having a 53 man roster. Earlier today they cut Defensive Lineman Tevita Finau. The Utah Graduate was looking to make a roster spot but was unable to standout in the preseason.

Additionally the New York Jets parted ways with Safety Rontez Miles.

Miles was another unsigned free agent that was attempting to impress the coaches during the preseason. It is widely rumored that he may come back at a later time and placed on the Jets practice squad. In another move the Jets released Wide Receiver Mohamed Massaquoi.

Massaquoi was attempting to beat out Clyde Gates, Ben Obomanu, and Ryan Spadola for a roster spot on the team. The Jets released QB Greg McElroy and CB Mike Edwards earlier today as well, read more here.
