The NY Jets have not made a decision as to who will be the starter in the regular season, but if Geno Smith’s right ankle doesn’t look to be a problem it appears he will get the nod to start this Saturday’s pre season game versus the NY Giants.
Smith looks to impress the coaches and find some success against the Giants in order to separate himself from Mark Sanchez in the Quarterback competition. Before he was sidelined with his ankle injury in his first NFL Pre Season game versus the Detroit Lions he completed 6 of his 7 passes for 47 yards.
