Jets Camp Report – 07/31
Here is a brief recap of the Jets practice today. The Jets did not practice yesterday and today marked the first practice as a Jet for Dee Milliner. Chris Ivory was also in pads and participated today. but his hamstring still isn’t 100%. There was a camp fight between the offensive and defensive lines, with a lot of energy and talking.
Quarterback
We can’t stress enough that the reports on the QB battle is early and that the preseason games will weigh heavily into this decision. That said, most reports said it was not a good day for Mark Sanchez today:
Sanchez having an awful practice. Geno looks very good #NYJ

Final QB stats: Sanchez, with starting unit: 3-for-10, 1 INT, 2 near-INTs, 1 drop on would-be TD to Hill. Geno 6-for-9, 2 sacks. #Jets

Offensive Line
Rookie Brian Winters spent time with the 1st time at left guard with Willie Colon at right guard. Winters was with the 1st team due because Stephen Peterman had a shoulder injury per Rex Ryan.
Defense
Sheldon Richardson missed practice because of a dental issue.
Tackling will start tomorrow.
Milliner should play in the Green and White scrimmage on Saturday.
Other Notes:
Rex Ryan indicated that he anticipates the Jets will use more of the Wildcat this year.
