Down But Not Out
Bob Glauber from Newsday is reporting that the Jets will let Mark Sanchez compete for a starting job, and that they will not be releasing him.
League source: #Jets expected to retain QB Mark Sanchez into preseason, let him compete for starting job. Sanchez to show up for work tomw.

It is really hard to imagine the Jets going into training camp with Sanchez, Tebow, Smith, Garrard and McElroy on the roster. Things can change in a hurry in the NFL, but for now John Idzik is set on not rushing into a decision. That logic served the Jets well with Darrelle Revis and is why they were able to get a 1st round pick when he was traded.
There never is a dull moment for JetNation though.
