Small Moves From Yesterday
Buried under the avalanche of starting QB stories the Jets did a couple of other things yesterday, a signing and a tryout. The Jets signed LB Jacquies Smith to the practice squad and gave WR Terrance Toliver another tryout.
Jacquies Smith was an undrafted rookie from Missouri who was with the Dolphins until 8/26 and had worked out with the Jets last week. He was originally a DE but I guess the Jets want to use him as a LB which is his 2nd position.
Terrance Oliver was with the Lions and Texans for parts of 2011 and 2012 and played in the UFL in 2012 with the Omaha Nighthawks. He played his college ball for LSU.
