Newsday is reporting that the Jets have signed punter Robert Malone
from the San Diego Chargers. Malone has been in the NFL since 2010 and the Jets are his fifth team in that span going from Jacksonville to Tampa Bay to Detroit and then to San Diego before being signed by the Jets. Malone has 57 career punts with a 42.2 yards per punt average and 35.5 net average. With the cutting of Conley, Malone is expected to be the opening day starter at punter.
