Jets Workout Former Texans Rookie LB Bryant

The Jets Have brought in former Texan DE/OLB – D.J. Bryant for a workout:

Bryant (6’3”, 248) was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent (5/14/12) out of James Madison University, 48 tackles, 13 for loss and 7 sacks in 2011 for the Dukes. He had 4 tackles and 3 sacks during the preseason with the Texans but was released on August 31^st.

The Jets may be looking at Bryant to improve their edge pass rush as LB Ricky Sapp had been injured during camp, not appearing in any preseason games, and is currently on the practice squad.
