Jets Waive Seven, Reduce Roster to 80

The Jets have announced that seven players have been waived.  The official release from the Jets appears below.  The roster now stands at 80 and here are two important dates to remember about the NY Jets Roster.

• Monday, August 27^th by 4pm (EST) – Active Roster – (75).
• Friday, August 31^st by 9pm (EST) – Active/Inactive Roster – (53).

The New York Jets have waived G Terrence Campbell, LS Derek Chard, DT Matt Hardison, WR Dexter Jackson, CB LeQuan Lewis, S Marcus Lott and WR Raymond Webber. The announcements were made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum. Currently, the Jets roster stands at 80.
