Jets Waive DB Torrance
According to newyorkjets.com the Jets have released DB – Devon Torrence placing him on waivers:
The New York Jets have waived cornerback Devon Torrence. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Torrence (6’0″, 190) joined the Jets as a free agent on Aug. 1. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Vikings on July 27, 2011, and was waived after training camp on Sept. 3. Torrence was signed to the Bengals’ practice squad on Dec. 19 and was later waived on Jan. 2.
It would have been difficult for Torrence to break the 53-man roster.
Currently the Jets have 87 players on their roster and have room to add 3 more until first cut-downs on August 27th, when teams need to trim the active roster to 75.
