Former Jets Safety Jim Leonhard Signs With Denver Broncos
According to Roto-World Ex-Jets safety Jim “Jimmy” Leonhard has agreed to a one year contract with the Denver Broncos.
Leonhard, a fan favorite, was known as the “quarterback” of the secondary but back-to-back season ending injuries (broken leg, knee) made resigning Leonhard difficult.
Leonhard told JetNation during an interview that he would be ready for beginning of the season and was open to returning to the Jets but offseason additions safeties LaRon Landry and Yeremiah Bell made a Leonhard’s return less likely.
He gave thanks to all the Jets fans via twitter:
Thank you to all my fans in NY. I play with my heart and I hope you saw that. I loved the Jets, but all good things must end.
