Jets Waive Tight End Brian Linthicum
The Jets have waived/injured undrafted rookie former Michigan State tight end Brian Linthicum (6’5″, 245). It was not too long ago Linthicum told the Detroit Free Press that Jets coaches felt he could be a starter with the team.
He was dealing with a quadriceps injury and not able to participate in the recent Jets mini-camp. It is unclear how just how severe the injury is but the Jets decided to part ways.
Linthicum along with recently released Ray Willis and G.J. Kinne now leave the Jets at 87 players on the roster with three spots open before training camp begins.
