The New York Jets have signed undrafted free agent DT Matt Hardison. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Hardison (6-4/285/Freehold, NJ/Delaware) participated in the Jets rookie minicamp as a tryout player on May 4-6. In two seasons at Delaware, Hardison played in 24 games, recording 29 tackles, including 6.5 for a loss. Hardison spent his first three collegiate seasons at Rutgers, but did not see game action.
