Jets Sign Third Round Draft Pick Demario Davis; Waive OT- Cullen
Jenny Vrentas of the Star Ledger is reporting the Jets have signed round three (No. 77) pick linebacker Demario Davis (Arkansas State). Coach Rex Ryan praised the performance of the team’s top three picks Quinton Coples, Stephen Hill and Davis after voluntary workouts today.
Davis’ signing leaves only round seven pick (No. 244) wide receiver Jordan White without a contract. White attended but sat out today’s OTA practice with a foot injury. It’s likely the Jets will have White signed before the start of mandatory mini-camp on June 12.
Earlier today Jet-Nation reported the signing of undrafted free agent rookie tight end Tarren Lloyd (Utah State). The team has released rookie offensive tackle John Cullen (Utah) to make a roster spot for Lloyd.
