On Wednesday New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis met with the media. Here is the transcript courtesy of the Jets.
On if he feels better now than he did after the game…
“Oh, yeah. The swelling went down. It feels good. I ran a little bit with the strength and conditioning coach, Sal (Alosi), today and it felt good. The hamstring is very tough because it will feel good one day, and the next day it can be hurting. It was a high intensity game and I ran routes and played most of the downs, so that’s where the swelling came in.”
On Rex Ryan saying that he wished he had known he was hurting during the game…
“We had a talk this morning. We just talked about the harm for me and me doing the right thing. We talked about being 100 percent. During the game, it’s high intensity, I’m a competitor and I wanted to play. I just fought through it. As of right now, maybe I should have (said something), but I was just playing football.”
On if he thinks he should have played in the game…
“Last week, it was my decision to have. Before the game, I felt great. There were no problems. I just think the problem did come when I took a lot of reps. I hadn’t played in two weeks. I wasn’t here for training camp, so coming back in and playing a lot of reps, that’s where the swelling came in with the hamstring.”
