NFL Week 4 Picks
Last week I went 9-7, for a season total of 28-20. I realize that my record is not exactly setting the world on fire, and I have Sebastian Janikowski, Norv Turner, Donovan McNabb, and the NFL officials to thank for that. Here are my picks for week 4.
Bengals over the Browns- The Browns are the perfect team to get Carson Palmer back on track. Bengals 28-13
Steelers over the Ravens- Even without Big Ben the Steelers are playing like one of the best teams in the NFL. This will be a very tough, physical game that will be decided in the fourth quarter. Advantage home team. Steelers 17-14
Titans over the Broncos- Denver can score some points but they will give up twice as many. Titans 20-10
Packers over the Lions- If you are a fantasy owner of any of the Packers players, you have to be drooling this week (just try and keep it off of your shirt). Hopefully Green Bay can keep the penalty amount to under 18. Packers 38-14
Falcons over the 49ers-There is a chance of a Falcon letdown coming off of a big win against the Saints. Luckily for Atlanta the 49ers are a mess from top to bottom. Falcons 27-10
Saints over the Panthers- It is not a question of the Saints winning, more like by how many. Blowout city. Let the Cowher to Carolina rumors begin. Saints 42-7
Seahawks over the Rams- Can you believe that if the Rams won this game and Arizona lost, they would be in 1st place? Don’t worry Seattle will start winning on the road this week. Seahawks 21-17
Colts over the Jaguars- There is a good chance that this game will be a laugher in the third quarter. There is a better chance Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio will be fired this season. Colts 37-14
Texans over the Raiders- The Raiders are much improved with Gradkowski behind center, but the Texans will be hungry after losing to Dallas. Texans 27-17
Eagles over the Redskins- McNabb returns home to face Mike Vick and his former team. As much as I want to take the Redskins, I think Philly has the better team and the home crowd will be a huge advantage. Eagles 24-13
Chargers over the Cardinals- The Bolts are off to a slow start once again, but the Cards are just not that good of a team with Derek Anderson behind center. Chargers 24-9
Bears over the Giants- The Giants completely fell apart last Sunday against the Titans, leaving many to wonder about the team’s leadership and discipline. The Bears will take advantage of New York’s beat up offensive line. Bears 21-13
Dolphins over the Patriots- A great AFC East battle between two teams that cannot stand each other. This has the potential to be a shootout, but in the end I think Miami’s defense will make a play to seal the deal. Dolphins 27-24
New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills- The New York Jets travel up to western New York to take on the division rival Buffalo Bills. Gang Green is coming off back-to-back impressive wins, while the Bills are still searching for their first win. Will the Jets fall victim to the “trap” game? Will Buffalo rally the troops behind quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick? Find out these answers on Sunday in my game preview.
