Revis reportedly out 1-2 weeks

Several media outlets are reporting that New York Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis will be out 1-2 weeks due to a strained left hamstring. Both Revis and the Jets have stated that they will be very cautious handling the injury as hamstrings can be tricky to treat.

Two quick thoughts on this:

1) This injury truly comes as no surprise as players that holdout for an extended period of time always seems to come up with a groin or hamstring injury.  You have to wonder if this injury will linger around the entire season.

2) Revis’ injury will put the spotlight back on Antonio Cromartie who will more than likely match up with Brandon Marshall this weekend.  Hopefully Alcrotraz can build off of his solid performance against the Patriots.
